[TechRepublic] Apple offers iPad refund as ACCC sues over 4G claims

Editor's note
This week really heated up with the ACCC taking Apple to court over claims that Apple's "iPad with WiFi + 4G" was misleading. Thus far Apple has agreed to post signage stating that the new iPad is incompatible with Australian 4G LTE networks. Apple's barrister told the court that Australia's 3G networks are comparable to overseas 4G networks. So therefore if Apple thinks local 3G handsets are 4G equivalent, what does that make the existing 4G handsets and tablets that Telstra sells? There's definitely more to come out of this case as the parties head to mediation and another date in court in May. Have a litigation-free weekend! -- Chris
